About
Hello there! I am Natasha and thanks for being here!
I understand that, as a person of color, discussing emotions and feelings may not have always been encouraged. Being vulnerable can be difficult and even scary. That's perfectly okay, and I am here to help navigate through these layers of emotions and experiences.
I will meet you with compassion, kindness, authenticity–and sometimes some small doses of sarcasm and humor! I empathize with those who have not had positive experiences with vulnerability or opening up. I also understand how frustrating getting effective healthcare can be and I strive to give all of my clients my best self. I don’t take the role of being a therapist lighty and I may not have personally been in your shoes, but as a human and well trained therapist, I am confident I can help you reach your treatment goals. I am deeply committed to the healing and betterment of all my clients-I am excited and honored to go on this journey with you!
I am grateful to have experience working with adolescents and adults from a variety of different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. I have treated a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, post traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, substance use issues and many different traumas. I have facilitated individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy and family therapy in different therapy settings such as PHP/IOP, residential and outpatient.
Outside of my role of being a therapist, I am passionate about animal welfare and I volunteer at an animal rescue. I love to read, powerlift and be in nature. Your pets are most welcome to join our telehealth sessions, too!
